Middlesex Ltd together with Galliford Try worked on the simultaneous delivery of two education facilities within a sensitive conservation area near Oxford city centre.
This project involved the Swan School, a modern three-storey secondary school with all-weather sport facilities, specialised science labs and dance studios, and Meadowbrook college, which was built as a replacement to a dilapidated former middle school to provide a fit-for-purpose academy for pupils with special needs.
Middlesex delivered drylining works across both buildings, which included suspended ceilings and acoustic baffles, supporting the creation of teaching, laboratory, performance and specialist learning spaces.
In keeping with Middlesex’s quality and safety focus, installations complied with all relevant standards, approved details, and manufacturer’s instructions.
The project received an Oxford Preservation Trust Award in 2021 for its sensitive design within a conservation area.
