Allen Edwards School’s original buildings no longer met the requirements of a modern learning environment. A new three-storey school was constructed on the existing playground areas, allowing the school to remain operational throughout the build. Once the new building was completed and occupied, the original school buildings were demolished and the area reinstated as new playground space.
Middlesex was appointed to deliver the drylining works within the new building, which included: internal linings, finishes, suspended ceilings and acoustic baffles, supporting the creation of functional teaching and circulation spaces.
In keeping with Middlesex’s quality and safety focus, installations complied with all relevant standards, approved details, and manufacturer’s instructions.
Middlesex was also appointed to deliver the firestopping works.
